On Saturday, 24 July 2021, the pumptrack in Železná Ruda was ceremonially put into operation.
The total cost of its construction amounted to CZK 3 million. The Pilsen Region supported the construction with CZK 1.5 million. Vice President for Transport Pavel Čížek, whose responsibility is the construction of similar cycling areas, also came to express his good wishes.
The new sports ground creates further opportunities for active leisure time of children, youth and adults in the Železná Ruda Region. Not only bicycle enthusiasts, but also skateboard, roller skate and scooter lovers will enjoy themselves there. Thanks to the new high-quality lighting, the area is also suitable for evening riding.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Mayor of Bayerisch Eisenstein, Michael Herzog, and the Mayor of Železná Ruda, Filip Smola. The legendary biker Michal Marosi and his fellow riders demonstrated their riding skills and showed what attractions the track brings for bike lovers.
