The cooperation between companies and the Pilsen Region proved successful not only in practice, but also during their presentation at EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan, where the Czech House was among the most visited sites of the entire world exhibition. Pilsen Region Week, held at EXPO 2025 at the turn of August and September, was praised as highly beneficial by representatives of foreign partners and numerous ambassadors.

The strong showing of regional projects—and of more than twenty participating companies—prompted the Pilsen Region to express its appreciation to their representatives. A ceremonial gathering was held at the Semler Residence in Pilsen, attended by company representatives and, on behalf of the region, First Deputy Governor Petr Vanka, who symbolically presented special certificates as a token of gratitude.
“In the Pilsen Region, we enjoy a high quality of life; the region is thriving. We have many successful companies, schools, students, and notable individuals who give us an excellent reputation. But we cannot rest on our laurels—we need to keep moving the region forward. Collaboration with the companies operating here has proved to be an effective path. Together, we are tackling issues such as education and the shortage of specialists in certain fields. We participate in projects that enhance quality of life, particularly in smart technologies and engineering more broadly. I am very pleased that this cooperation is thriving and, as demonstrated at the world exhibition in Osaka, our companies have much to offer on the international stage. They deserve our thanks for contributing to the region’s development and for their constructive approach to cooperation,” says Petr Vanka, Deputy Governor for Regional Development.
