The Ambassador of Vietnam to the Czech Republic HQ Minu Tuan arrived on Wednesday 10 October 2018 to pay a friendly visit. He was accepted by President of the Region Josef Bernard and Vice-President Ivo Grüner.

"The relations between our countries are developing favourably and I would like to contribute to their development," the Vietnamese ambassador said at the beginning. The President told him about the creation of many friendships when he worked in the Škoda factory.

There are about 6,000 Vietnamese people living in the Pilsen Region. They are trying to integrate into Czech society and have good relations with Czech people and the authorities. There is also a number of mixed marriages.

Vietnam is interested in cooperation in the field of education, especially with the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, in organizing a B2B meeting of Czech and Vietnamese entrepreneurs and in developing relations with the Vietnamese regions. President of the Region Josef Bernard proposed to organize an event which would introduce life in Vietnam to Czech people  in all respects.
