H.E. Yevhen Perebyinis, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic, paid a courtesy visit to the Pilsen Region on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. The Ambassador, Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Prague Ostapa Lukianchuk and Commercial Counsellor Valerii Koroma were accepted at the regional office by President of the Region Josef Bernard and Councillor Radka Trylcova.
Negotiations were conducted in the spirit of the situation in Ukraine and the possibilities of mutual cooperation. Ukraine, whose goal is economic prosperity and security, is, despite the current difficult situation, trying to move towards the European Union and NATO.
Both parties are interested in the partnership between the Pilsen Region and one of the regions in Ukraine. Yevhen Perebyinis will identify regions suitable for our region.
Ukraine is a major exporter of labour force. It seeks to offer favourable business conditions to ensure decent working conditions and adequate wages for Ukrainians. Businesses from the Pilsen Region offer great opportunities. Many Ukrainians work in the Czech Republic. At present, the conditions of their employment must be regulated and the influence of employment agencies should be reduced.
Both parties agreed to hold several lectures and exhibitions on the life in Ukraine over the Pilsen Region, so that the Czechs could make a better idea of life there. The Pilsen Region will support publication of a book by one of the current Ukrainian authors, and will organize a summer camp for Ukrainian children who lost their parents in war.
