Pačejov wins the “Village of the Pilsen Region 2019 Award”

The winner of the regional round of the jubilee 25th year of the Village of the Year competition for 2019 was the village of Pačejov in the Klatovy District. The announcement ceremony took place in the victorious village today. Other awarded municipalities were Příchovice and Křenov which won the President of the Pilsen Region Award and the Council of the Pilsen Region Award respectively. Other prizes which included financial reward were also awarded. The ceremony was followed by a music and dance program prepared for all guests by Pačejov clubs.

Representatives of announcing entities attended the award ceremony in Pačejov. The Pilsen Region was represented by the President of the Region Josef Bernard, Vice-Presidents Marcela Krejsová, Ivo Grüner, Pavel Čížek and Councillor Radka Trylčová.

"Pačejov is a very lively village that manages to draw subsidies and develop. What I admire most about Pačejov is its social and community life. There are active fire clubs, a local Junák group, beekeepers and unforgettable  Švitorka Band and Šikbaby singing club. Congratulations to everyone from Pačejov, you are an example for other municipalities in our region," said the President of the Region Josef Bernard when presenting the Golden Ribbon award to the municipality of Pačejov.
