The 15th year of three-day ITEP 2019 Tourism Fair, which will offer visitors a new concept and arrangement, starts in the new premises of TJ Lokomotiva Plzeň on September 19, 2019.
Every day, ITEP 2019 will take visitors in the form of lectures to various parts of the world, namely to Nicaragua, the disappearing world of the Amazonian natives, to see the order and chaos of Morocco and Mauritania, to the Faroe Islands or by bike to Africa. Visitors will stroll through countryside as part of the ‘Wander along the Golden Route’ competition and next to the Pilsen Region exposition they will find a corner dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Communist regime, where Radek Nakládal will present travel stories from thirty years ago that people sent to www.facebook.com/turisturaj. The visitors will also have a chance to taste international and regional dishes.
"The ITEP fair will offer tourist opportunities and tips for trips and entertainment. Daily travel lectures such as ‘A Student Expedition with a Wheelchair to the Himalayas’ are a novelty in the accompanying program. Children will enjoy a lot of interactive entertainment every day, e.g. afternoon program ‘Pohádkohraní s Jitulí a Dadulí’, theatre performances, art workshops, making puppets, competitions and others," says Vice President of the Pilsen Region for Education and Tourism Ivana Bartošová.
There will be interviews with actress Aneta Krejčíková, Dakar truck driver Martin Macík and travellers Tomáš Vaňourek and Lukáš Socha.
The 15th year of the ITEP 2019 Tourism Fair organized by the Pilsen Region in the new premises of TJ Lokomotiva Pilsen on 19 and 20 September from 10:00 to 18:00 and on 21 September from 10:00 to 17:00 will offer visitors a new concept and arrangement. Admission is free.
Information centres, towns and villages, museums, tourist destinations and exhibitors from all over the world will present in two halls. Foreign guests will include e.g. the representatives of the Timiș County from the partner region of Banat who will present traditional crafts and dishes. The State Porcelain Museum in Hohenberg, Bavaria, Europe's largest museum of this kind, will be one of the new exhibitors.
“The observatories in Rokycany and Pilsen will present an exhibition on the 50th anniversary of the man's landing on the Moon. The Museum of Crafts and Technology in Koloveč with a fully equipped hairdressing salon from the 1930s will offer an insight into the past. In the Painter’s Garden full of green and herbs, everyone will try to create their own dried tea,” adds Ivana Bartošová.
CK Bus Foltýnová company will held a full-day competition every day.
There will be an exciting historic bus rides right from the place during the fair. The commented routes will lead to the newly opened and only accessible underground kaolin mine in the Czech Republic in Nevřeň. Tickets are available at www.plzenskavstupenka.cz.
