The Pilsen Region is one of the last regions the Israeli ambassador visited officially in 2017, but he personally had come to Pilsen several times before. His credentials to the President of the Czech Republic were presented in March 2017.

At the beginning of the meeting,  mutual cordial  relations between the Pilsen Region and the State Israel were mentioned as well as the President´s visit to the Simon Adler´s Museum in Dobrá Voda in the Sumava Mountains. "The Pilsen Region is greatly interested in Israeli´s approach to innovations and education projects in a school system. Therefore, we would like to pay a visit to Israel and get a closer look at Israeli´s approach to educating children from their early age, approach to health care and high-tech. It is really a very inspiring country," said the President of the Region.

Planning a visit to Israel should be in cooperation with the Czech Embassy in Tel Aviv which could coordinate meetings with relevant organizations and partners, nevertheless, H. E. Daniel Meron also promised to help providing relevant contacts.

Other topics as unemployment, shortage of workforce in the Czech republic, industry development, population structure, education and workforce retraining  were discussed during the meeting.

At the end of the visit H. E. Daniel Meron signed a memory book of the Pilsen region and small gifts were handed over.
