The newly completed and commissioned section of road II/230 from Stříbro towards the D5 motorway will make driving easier and safer.
The construction of the new road is important from the transport point of view not only for the town of Stříbro, but also for its surroundings. The entire relocation, which was carried out in a very high quality by Berger Bohemia a.s., was co-financed by the Pilsen Region and the European Union in the amount of CZK 96 million.
"This is the first part of the new connection between the town of Stříbro and the D5 motorway with the aim of shortening the length, levelling the arches and widening the II/230 road from Stříbro to the D5 motorway. These modifications will primarily increase the safety of road traffic and especially truck transport, the intensity of which is constantly increasing. The second part of the connection of this road is being intensively prepared," said Pavel Čížek, Vice President of the Pilsen Region for Transport.
The completed section of the road was opened to all traffic on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
