A total of 130 products from 37 producers competed for the title of Regional Food. The evaluation committee selected the winners in 9 categories.
The evaluators proposed to award the Regional Food of the Pilsen Region 2021 label to the following products:

“The committee did not have it easy. This year’s Regional Food of the Pilsen Region Competition was particularly rich in quality food. The most products competed in the Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages category. The categories Cheese and cottage cheese, and Other dairy products boasted a significant amount of goat products,” said Helena Hnojská, coordinator of the Regional Food of the Pilsen Region from Úhlava, o.p.s.
Due to the high quality of the products in the competition, the following products were additionally awarded on the basis of the proposal of the committee:

The award ceremony for the Regional Food of the Pilsen Region and additional awards will take place on 26 September 2021 at the Apple Festival in Sady Nebílovy.
The Regional Food Award is only open to producers of agricultural and food products with up to 250 employees. The awarded product receives the right to use the Regional Food label free of charge for four years. Currently, 407 products from 312 producers have been awarded.
The Regional Food Competition is a project of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic and supports local food producers. The brand is administered by the State Agricultural Intervention Fund.
