On September 9, 2020, Dagmar Gajdošová, Štěpánka Krejčová, Jiří Vacek and Václav Daňhel won the Award of the President of the Pilsen Region for saving lives in 2019.

The awards were presented to them by Vice-President Marcela Krejsová on the basis of nominations sent to the regional office by the residents of the Pilsen Region either by post or electronically from January until 10 February. The awards were due to take place at the end of March, but due to coronavirus measures they were put back on September 9.

Marcela Krejsová handed over a bronze commemorative medal and a check worth 10,000 CZK to four winners who, through their actions and readiness, helped people who were in danger of their lives; they are Dagmar Gajdošová, Štěpánka Krejčová, Jiří Vacek and Václav Daňhel.

“It's always nice to meet someone who has selflessly helped someone, especially when it comes to human life. I am glad to have the opportunity to meet you personally and say thank you,” said Vice-President Marcela Krejsová.
