Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce helps to seek new opportunities

Businessmen, representatives of organizations supporting business and representatives of the Pilsen Region and the City of Pilsen met the members of the Italian-Czech Chamber of commerce on Thursday, 3 June, 2014, in order to get to know one another and to obtain useful business information. The meeting was organized by the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Camic), which has been operating in the Czech Republic for several years and helps both Czech and Italian companies find business opportunities.

The meeting was opened by Mr. Václav Šlajs , President of the Pilsen Region, who shortly introduced the region expressing his believe that the meeting shall positively influence the development of the Pilsen Region. The President’s Deputy Mr. Ivo Gruner described the region in more detail, highlighting especially the advantageous position of the region, which borders on Bavaria, and mentioning the long tradition of engineering industry, brewing and other branches typical of the region. The Secretary-General of Camic, Mrs. Livia Romani, explained the  reasons of the meeting.  “It is crucial to know companies and institutions operating in the region,  and thus
I am pleased that the Pilsen Region organized the meeting at the regional office and that the representatives of institutions supporting business accepted our invitation,” said Livia Romani.

The City of Pilsen, investments and plans for the future were described by the Deputy of the Pilsen Mayor, Mr. Martin Zrzavecký. Mrs. Radka Trylčová, President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Pilsen Region, introduced the scope of activities and services provided by the Chamber for businessmen. Regional businessmen  are  furthermore  supported  by  the  organization  CzechInvest  introduced  by  its  regional office President, Mrs. Martina Malíková. The Association of Chambers of Commerce ‘Jihozápad’ was briefly introduced by the Chairperson of the Board Mr. Miloslav Zeman.
